Another inspiring weekend hosting Melbourne Recorder Academy 2023! This year we had ensembles at tertiary, secondary and primary school level - and it was so inspiring to hear these brilliant young players connecting with each other, making great music and asking questions about all things recorder. We even got the renaissance instruments out of the big black box for a try out 🙂
It was wonderful to have Rachel Snedden and Rodney Waterman onboard as tutors this year, alongside Ruth Wilkinson and Ryan Williams, and we are so grateful for The Don Cowell Memorial Trust and Victorian Recorder Guild for their ongoing support of this project.
These young recorder players are sounding brilliant - we‘re looking forward to the future of recorder playing in Australia!
