Save the Date!

In July last year, The Recorder Co-Op invited four very talented recorder players from Victoria and NSW to join us for a weekend of rehearsing, learning and performing together. We were so impressed with the ensemble's hard work and beautiful sound - bringing eight players together over three days to perform a wonderful concert of Renaissance and contemporary music.

After this was a pilot project, we're really glad to announce that this year, Melbourne Recorder Academy will host a three-day weekend of recorder playing, from October 4-6, 2019!

So save the date! If you love the recorder, we'd love to have you involved....

Exact details will depend on the participants, but we anticipate offering groups for Advanced Players (upper secondary school, AMEB Gr 7+), Intermediate Players (Upper Primary-Lower Secondary school, AMEB Gr 4+), and Beginning Players (Lower-Middle Primary, AMEB Gr 1+), as well as a special workshop for very small (pre-school aged) players too! If you don't fit into those categories, don't worry at all - they're just a guide to get us started. Our aim is to support talented young recorder players, whatever level they're at, to be involved in an ensemble that will allow us to make wonderful music together! If you're interested in being involved, or would like more details, we'd love to hear from you. Please send us an email at, or stay tuned here for more details!
